Thing is I don't want rock hard suspension. Was considering 18inch rims but might stick with 17's else I'll be breaking my back on the roads by me!

Fully adjustable ... and they are like rocks ... hit a bit of paper and you feel it .. but all depends what your after .

Sam - mine is low enough .... other wise i would be able to get over speed humps at more the 2 mph .

stick with 16's or 17's. you won't lose too much handling or performance then.

You could go for the 10 spokes in 17" and they would look bigger because the spokes go all the way to edge of the rim. More spokes means more weight though...

As for the Teins. Yes, they are pricey but they would be so worth it. They are amongst the best suspension makers in the world, you would not be disappointed if thats what you bought, but decide what you want from them first. If you just want a set of coilovers to look good and sit low then Teins could be a waste of money IMO. You could achieve the same effect for a lot less cash. Personally, I will only fit parts that make the car go, stop, or corner quicker or lighter. Anything else just doesn't interest me. As a result I will only fit proven components. I would only consider Tein or HKS (Hyper Max I think they are called) or similar for my car. I'm not trying to be a car snob but I just prefer to chase performance over looks.

I'm leaning more towards the 17' 10 spokes. As for the suspension, I'm still mulling it over. Def need to lower the car cos its arse is waaaaayyyy to high!

Least I know a bit more about 'em now smile.gif

Tein are awesome smile.gif but look at Gaz and Leda too because they are just as good and sometimes a tad cheaper smile.gif

www.mx5mad.com are official dealers for Gaz (british made) now so might be able to help you out smile.gif

I'd go with Konis myself. You may not need coilovers either! Koni sport adjustables are cheap and perform well. Nuph has some one his car, and most of the ITR forum have them on theirs (which means a lot!).

T'is a piece of piss to do mate biggrin.gif

I've got Koni dampers with Tein springs, works well for me and the fact that you can adjust the damping so easily is great!

Mine were about £430 delivered for the front and back dampers from motorsportworld.co.uk who i highly recommend. They don't ctually stock the dampers themselves, they're sent from their supplier.. only took 2 days though! biggrin.gif

Oh right. Think I'll lean more towards the Konis then.

Getting my tyres tomorrow ... hopefully! Then K&N filter after Chrimbo.

Soz pol, gotta disagree there, tongue.gif id go with the Tein cos they are TOP banana when it comes to jap suspension and they dont suffer too badly from corrosion. If you are worried about the threads seizing on them then put some castrol heavy grease on them, sticks like poo to a blanket and protects the rings from seizing and thread from corroding. We looked into taking on Tein dealership at work but couldnt justify the minimum buy quantity tein uk were asking for! mad.gif

TEIN are the doggies danglies in suspension, i dont know about the damping rates though.

I have Koni Adjustables on my car and they are frigging awesome, its great cos i can change the fronts to be a bit softer in minutes if im going on a long motorway journey (boobs bounce too much).

I would not hestitate to recommend the konis, they are brillant for the money and the ride is spot on. I had bilsteins before the konis and they were rock solid (racing suspension) and they were TOO stiff, if you went over a bump or anything it would lift the wheels off the ground  and the abs would kick in all the time.

Fucking amazing on the corners though! LOL
